Gunpowder disaster in Leiden 1807

On august 3th 1807 (300 years ago at time of writing) a cargo ship carrying 18.000kg of gunpowder exploded in the city center of Leiden. More then 200 houses were leveled, 151 dead and more then 2000 wounded. By studying reports and paintings dating from that time alot of information was gathered about which houses and trees where destroyed. The city archives provided detailed drawings of the 'before situation',  those drawings were used as textures for the houses. The 3D animation was shown at an exhibition about the disaster.
